Applewood-Smoked Duck Breast
Heritage breed duck dry-aged 48 hours, pan-seared to a lacquered mahogany crust. Served over sweet potato velouté, pickled blueberries, and wilted mustard greens.
Farm-to-table dining rooted in the Southern Appalachians. Seasonal ingredients, wood-fired technique, and cocktails crafted with the same intention as every dish.
Each dish changes with the season. These are the three that never leave the menu.

Chioggia and golden beets roasted low and slow in the hearth. Torn local burrata, toasted walnuts, micro arugula, aged sherry vinaigrette, and fleur de sel.
Thin-sliced NC mountain apples caramelized in brown butter and bourbon, folded into buttery pastry. Finished tableside with a pour of warm salted caramel and vanilla crème fraîche.
Doodle Ink Restaurant Demo was born from a simple conviction: that extraordinary food begins with an extraordinary relationship between chef and farmer. We opened our doors in 2018 after Demo Chef returned to his hometown of Your City, Your State with fifteen years in fine-dining kitchens across France and New York. He wanted to cook something more personal.
Every protein, vegetable, and dairy product on our menu comes from within 150 miles of this dining room. We visit our farms. We know the families who grow our food, the names of the animals, and the soil composition of our fields. That level of care shows up in every bite.
Our menu is rewritten with the seasons — sometimes weekly. We are not a restaurant with a fixed identity. We are a restaurant that listens. To the land, to the harvest, to you.
The duck was the sample featured dish I’ve eaten in Your City, Your State — maybe anywhere. Perfectly seared, beautifully plated, and paired with a cocktail that made the whole table go quiet. We’ll be back for every anniversary from now on.
We hosted our rehearsal dinner in the private room and I cannot say enough good things. Chef Marcus came out to greet our guests personally. The charcuterie spread alone was worth the trip from Charlotte. An experience, not just a meal.
Sunday brunch here is a weekly ritual for our family now. The beet & burrata is transcendent, the Smoky Mountain Spritz is the perfect morning cocktail, and the service makes you feel like a regular from your first visit.
The Cedar Room is our dedicated private dining space — an intimate room with warm exposed wood, candlelight, and a custom menu designed around your occasion.
